Teaching any child can be hard but when they have Disabilities of any kinds its even harder to teach them at times. Charlie has ADHD and also is Dyslexic. Getting Charlie to Focus is hard. Having Charlie do Reading and Language Arts can take twice as long.
I haven’t registered Charlie for these courses because at the moment we can’t afford them but if things change in the Future I would like to have Charlie try the Writing and Reading classes out.
I would like to share a website created by Allison Bruning the owner of Academic Warriors an online resource for parents who homeschool autistic, gifted and special needs students. Our website Academic Warriors works with parents to personalize the educational experience each child needs.
They service students throughout the United States including New York City to California. All of our classes are live through the internet. I would like to let you know they work with several homeschool organizations as well as California charter schools and the Arizona ESA program.
Academic Warriors has a publishing house attached to there school. We publish children and adults books. I can’t wait to check into them for not only Charlie but myself as well.
Academic Warriors is an international online school that offers live classes from independent teachers to autistic, special needs and gifted students throughout the world. Our students are homeschooled, private and publicly educated.
We do not preschedule classes or programming. If a class is listed on this page then it means it already has a student enrolled. We work with parents to schedule the course their child is interested in taking according to the student’s schedule.
