Back-To-School is right around the corner which means Summer is coming to a end. I wasn’t able to spend much time with my nieces and nephews this year. I was thinking about host a end of Summer Party with the swimming pool closed I wasn’t sure what we could do. That has changed since I received ABC’s for Strong Girls: A Coloring Book to Build Confidence, Determination, and Empathy by Elena Degnan (Author),  Evgeniya Pautova (Illustrator)for this review.

I will host two parties Coloring & Cookies for the girls and a Day of Basketball and Video Games for the boys. I can’t wait to share ABC’s for Strong Girls with Lily and Jason which can also be used in Homeschooling Art Class. I know the girls will like the cover and the colors the artist used and the figures of the girls.

Once my niece Lily see’s the young girl on Roller Skates I know Lily will ask if she can go skating. Which isn’t my cup of tea so my sister Debbie her grandmother can take her because I would break everything I own. How about you? Charlie looked at the picture and being as goofy as he is he thought the one girl had a bucket on her head. LOL I had to remind Charlie it was a bucket hat like he has.

Each page has a letter of the alphabet on them that reminds us of things to do. Like A accept yourself which we all should do. C says to challenge yourself which we should do every day. F says Fail, Learn, grow which I would like to print out to hang on our homeschool wall. K says keep your cool which Charlie needs to remember when playing video games. I will print out to hang in his bedroom even though it has a girl on the picture if he doesn’t like that Charlie can draw it with a boy to hang up.

M reminds us to move our body which Charlie and I need to be reminded of everyday and can be used for our Homeschool PE Class and to remind me to move for my diet. R says to respect others and s says to stand up for yourself which we should all do every day. Z reminds us to ger our zzz’s which we all need to do.

Not only is ABC’s For Strong Girls a coloring book for girls of all ages but a learning tool and there is even things boys can learn through this coloring book. Wouldn’t it be next if the author created a book for boys. I would purchase a copy for my son. My nieces and also my grandson Elijah. What about you?

While homeschooling her young children during the pandemic, Elena rediscovered her joy of coloring and reading children’s books. She also learned that confidence in girls dwindles at age eight. Elena decided to create her own books to help raise the next generation of strong girls.

Elena is most likely leafing through a book at home, looking through the library stacks, or exploring the mountains where she lives with her husband, children, and dog. She is an advocate of good books, equal rights, and great storytelling, and the proud mom of two amazing kids who inspire her every day.
