Friday was my dad ‘s Birthday and its been a year since the LORD called him home. I took a day trip to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to have lunch with my brother. On the way I knew I needed to keep busy so I wouldn’t dwell on how much I was missing my dad. I brought my tablet with me and I watched the Netflix Movie A Week Away.
I loved the story to the movie and found myself singing along to the song played by Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant. Before the movie finished Charlie let me know he would like to have all the music downloaded to listen to during the week.
I love how the movie is the perfect Family Friendly Film for children of all ages. I laughed, I cried and I even had a couple aha moments just as you will when watching the film.
I had questions and wondered what would happen but at the end of the film everything I wondered was answered in the most perfect way ever. A Week Away is a movie we would watch again and again
A Week Away is Netflix’s first musical film of its kind, releasing March 26th. Troubled teen Will Hawkins (Kevin Quinn) has a choice to make – go to juvenile detention or attend a Christian summer camp.
While at camp, and with the help of his music, new friends and love interest (Bailee Madison), he learns the healing powers of kindness, forgiveness, and faith can be found in the most unlikely of places.
The official soundtrack of Netflix’s Film “A Week Away” will be available to all digital streaming providers on March 19, 2021, with the physical album releasing April 23, 2021.

In our home its guys versus girls Charlie can’t wait to hear Kevin Quinn (Will Hawkins) and I can’t wait to hear Bailee Madison (Avery) who are the key actors/singers in “A WeekAway”. Who do you want to hear and why?
● Did you know the film A Week Away includes three new original tunes penned by Adam Watts (High School Musical 3, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert). He also produced, arranged, engineered, mixed and mastered all the songs, apart from the bonus track with Johnnyswim.
The movie will be available on Netflix on March 26, 2021. It’s Netflix’s first
original faith-based / Christian film. Which makes this the perfect film for children of all ages to watch.
The soundtrack includes a special feature and bonus track of husband and wife duo, Johnnyswim, performing “Best Thing Ever” which Charlie and I are going to learn to perform in our Homeschooling Drama Class.
