Charlie and David love nature and all the critters we can find when taking a walk. With me wanting to make sure Charlie is prepared for 4th grade I will be checking out this new Science website I found. Called A Natural State.
A Natural State allows us to learn how people are inspired by Nature. There is one thing I would like to point out about A Natural State and its more for middle school students.
Charlie will be needing assistance when he is using this website and that is where David will come in. Because they can do this class together with a little help from me.
Age Range: 5-18 (Grades K-12 with most suited for middle school and up. Younger children will need adult assistance.)
This web presentation from the state of South Carolina explores how people are inspired by nature to shape, twist, carve, and weave materials collected from the landscape into works of art.
Interviews with natural artists from various geographical zones of South Carolina are included on the site along with samples of their work.The website provides free virtual workshops with step-by-step instructions and illustrations on how to make artwork using natural materials such as clay, pine needles, branches, vines, acorns, nuts, flowers, leaves, rocks, shells, and more.
