This is a review for A Lift-The-Flap-Mask book by A. H. Hill (Author), Junissa Bianda (Illustrator) who sent me a copy of the book of in exchange for this review.
My niece Lily and Jason was over the other morning when this book arrived. Jason was playing basketball with Charlie and Charlie’s friends. Lily didn’t have anything to do so I handed her this book and for the next hour I didn’t hear a word out of her as read the book to herself then her Mimi.
We went over why people wear mask and all the different mask we saw in the book. Then we went to the store and looked for different mask for Lily to draw when we got home. As well as sewing a mask together. As soon as the boys saw us with the craft supplies, they came and asked to make a mask as well.
I let them know they needed to read A Lift-The-Flap-Mask book first and let me know which mask they liked the best and what they thought about the people wearing the mask. As we talked, I explained to Lily and Jason that they were in Charlie’s Homeschool Reading and Art Class which they enjoyed.
As we finished the book my sister and David came and asked what we were doing. The kids read some of the book to David and Debbie then let them read to them. Once they finished the book, we all sat down and went over why mask were needed and were to get them at.
Lily and Jason let me know they can’t wait to share A Lift-The-Flap-Mask book with their parents, and they plan on asking them to get them a copy of the book. Which is perfect for beginner readers as well as adults. Boys and girls alike will enjoy the story.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to read A Lift-The-Flap-Mask book I hope you take the time to pick up this book to share with your children and don’t forget to share this book with your teachers and the principal in the school as well as the librarian so they can pick up copies of A Lift-The-Flap-Mask book to keep in the school for children struggling with wearing mask.
A Lift-The-Flap-Mask book will keep little one’s hands busy lifting and closing the flaps showing the people wearing the mask while parents, caregivers or teachers are reading the story to them. I hope you take the time to check out this book as soon as possible.
