I wish you were here with me to look through the book with me. The little girl in the star shirt with blue pants is so cute. I love the grin on her face. Look out there is a child on a scoter and it doesn’t look like she is going to slow down.
The other children seems to be racing somewhere and one of them looks like a lady doesn’t she? I love the little girls skirt in all different colors. I wish I could find one for my niece Payton. A is for Ambitious is from the #1 New York Times bestselling creators Meena Harris and Marissa Valdez.
My family has had the opportunity to read other books of there’s. Have you read any of there books? If not I hope you take the time to check them out as quickly as possible because with the Election coming up the books will prepare your children for what is going to happen.
The book uses words that reclaims and redefines both girls and women. Including Ambitious and loud. A is for Ambitious shows us what we can do when we support each other. The book brings us inspiration as our hopes and dreams come true.
A is for Ambitious is perfect to be read alone by both boys and girls or to be read out loud to elementary children. I believe the book should be in every classroom and library. I shared the book with my mother n law and she is going to purchase copies of the book for her grandchildren.
This is a picture book full or amazing and cute pictures that will keep us entertained for hours on end. Then there is the words for children to read and some of them might be hard for children to say which will bring families closer together as they read the story together.
If Charlie has still been homeschooling full time we could have used the book when studying Presidents or the Election. We could have used the words Charlie didn’t know in our Language Arts Class and on his spelling test.
Charlie would have also been able to use the words when it was time to write a definition for the word as the Author has included definitions on the words for us. Which is another teaching moment. Charlie also said it would be fun to use the words in his Art class he is still taking A is for Ambitious will also help children learn there ABC’s
