A Christmas Carol in 20 Minutes a Day

The Mommies Reviews

I would like to share a new children’s book which you will find inside our Christmas Gift Guide 2021: Books for Homeschool: Christmas book A Christmas Carol in 20 Minutes A Day. This new book is a Bushel & Peck Book. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a spot in our Christmas Gift Guide.

When Charlie began school, we were told he should read 30 minutes a night. With Charlie’s ADD and Dyslexia. It’s hard to get Charlie to sit still for 30 minutes to read. Which is why I am excited to see how Charlie does with A Christmas Carol as were only asked to read 20 minutes a day.

The book is marked were we start each day and were we end. In the front of the book are instructions on how to use the book. Which I read to Charlie then I had Charlie read them to himself. We discussed what the instructions said, and Charlie said he was excited to start reading the book.

I liked seeing inside the book on each page are words we would find in the story. Which we can use for Spelling words each week. Saving me time from having to find Spelling words for Charlie. I like how there is discussion questions at the end of each section which Charlie can use for Language Arts and turn into a report. At the back of the book are the definitions to the words that are in bold throughout the book allowing our students to learn the definitions of each word.

When you purchase your copy of A Christmas Carol, they donate one to a child in need. Which makes me want to purchase more of these books for everyone on my Christmas Shopping List. If you like this book, then you will want to check out other books in the series including Peter Pan 20 Minutes In A Day which Charlie has asked me to get this new game for him.
