Come get a Peek of the Holiday Magic in ‘Twas the Night Before… by Cirque du Soleil

The Mommies Reviews

Christmas Season is just beginning and I keep seeing all these amazing Christmas events I would like to attend. David is okay with going with me to anything to do with Christmas. Because David knows how much I love Christmas.

I have Ebenezer Scrooge in my home aka Charlie. Now that Charlie is a full fledged teenager he doesn’t want anything to do with Christmas. The other night I let David and Charlie know I was going to attend the Media Event for ‘Twas the Night Before… by Cirque du Soleil.

I didn’t ask either of them to go with me. I went and got dressed and picked up my phone to call my sister. I wanted to see if she would go with me. David walked in and asked me what time we needed to leave. I let David know now. I went to get my jacket.

I’m going out the door Charlie comes walking up all dressed. Charlie said mom, can I go with you. I just about melted. We headed out because my phone said it would take 20 minutes to get there while David’s said over a hour.

GPS gotta love it. Not… Cirque du Soleil was hosted at Texas Trust C.U. Theater, 1001 Texas Trust Way, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 which is just a hop skip and jump from our home. I didn’t even know this Theater existed. I can’t wait to go back to see other events here.

We walked in and there is a Elevator and Handicap parking for those that have trouble walking which would allow me to bring my mother in law.. We went inside and sat down. I loved how you could see the stage no, matter were you sat.

Before Twas the Night Before began Christmas songs started playing. I began to sing along because I love Christmas music. It was fun to hear the songs I’ve grown up with throughout the year. I was fun to see which songs Charlie recognized. As the show begin I looked at Charlie to see if he was bored.

Charlie was so mesmerized by what he seen that he didn’t move all night. Charlie let me know he loved the antics on the Bike. Charlie even said mom, I can’t wait to try some of these tricks at home. I wouldn’t recommend your children trying this or even Charlie. But we all know boys will be boys and one day I might see Charlie on the stage performing at Cirque du Soleil.

Charlie and I begin to listen to the story. I could hear myself reading the story inside my head word for word. As the show went on David and Charlie kept letting me know my niece Lily and Jason would have loved the show.

Charlie and I swear we even saw a Unicorn which Lily would have wanted to bring home with her. The show is 2 hours with a intermission that you can purchase merchandise at. The next time I go Charlie and I want to go shopping.

Yes, you did hear me say the next time we go as we would like to bring Lily and Jason out to see the show. To keep the evening going once we got back home we would have Hot Chocolate and read The Night Before Christmas.

If you love the Christmas Story music and acrobatics then ‘Twas the Night Before… by Cirque du Soleil is the perfect Holiday event for everyone of all ages. I hope you take the time to attend this event because it will quickly become one of your most favorite events of all the Holidays and a event you want to attend each and every year.
