Good morning, this is a review for the book How Far? which I received a copy of along with this Press Release. The thoughts in this review are all mine and mine alone.
I sat down this morning to read How Far even though I don’t usually read Fiction or books on Sports which I leave to Charlie and David. But after the first two chapters I was so immersed in the book which made me feel like I was spending time with a friend. The more I read and learned about Baseball and Hockey the more I knew this would be a must read book for Charlie.
I handed the book to Charlie and let him know he would need to read How Far for his Homeschool Reading Class. David sat down to read the hour he is assigned for reading. Charlie came to me and said mom can I read longer which showed me Charlie was enjoying the book. Before I knew what was happening David and Charlie was reading and discussing the story together which is a Godsend for my family because neither of them enjoy reading. I can’t wait to purchase Bats, Balls, and Burnouts: A Life of Sports, Marketing, and Mayhem the second book written by the Author which I want to share with my family. I hope you take the time to check out both books.

About the Author
Bob Wilber is no stranger to the world of sports. The son of Major League player Del Wilber, Bob Wilber grew up playing baseball. He graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, then went on to play several seasons of minor league baseball for the Detroit Tigers and the Oakland A’s. When his playing days were over, Wilber spent time as a regional scouting supervisor for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Wilber also grew up with a passion for writing, and ended up journeying through the world of international sports marketing before he was a senior executive for three professional indoor soccer franchises. An interest in NHRA drag racing led to his 22 years as a public relations representative and team manager for professional racers. Wilber published his autobiography Bats, Balls, & Burnouts in 2017. How Far? is his first work of fiction.
