Did you know Chocolate is a Vegetable, made from Cocoa Beans. Almonds are good for you. Almonds help to improve your Cholesterol levels. Put the two of them together and you’ve got a delicious treat. On this Holiday, we will not question this logic. We will just enjoy this Chocolatey treat.

If you are allergic to Tree Nuts, it is perfectly okay to enjoy Bittersweet Chocolate without the Nuts.

Today is the day to, raise our glasses in a toast to International Merlot Day. Your wine glass is filled with Merlot Wine, isn’t it!? Did you know, you are drinking one of the world’s most popular dry, red Wines?

Wine lovers know, Merlot is a favorite among dry red Wines. Merlot is considered a noble Grape. The word Merlot comes from the French word “Merlau” or “Merle”. It means “Blackbird”.  Merlot Grapes are prominently grown in many parts of the world. But, nowhere is Merlot more popular than in the Bordeaux region of France. We all know the French know a good Wine when they taste it. As a result, Merlot Grapes are the most popular grape in French Vineyards, comprising over 60% of the vines in all of the Vineyards in the Country.

I’m sure you know what to do on International Merlot Day.  Open up a bottle of Merlot and enjoy it with a friend or two. Don’t forget the Cheese and Crackers.

Perhaps, he or she drank just a little too much Merlot the first time this Holiday was celebrated and did not remember to document it the next morning.
