I would like to share a guest post that was put together for us by Jerry Kolber, co-founder of Atomic Entertainment What are the main benefits of STEAM education for a child? After you read the article leave me any comments you have and I will share them with the Author.
STEAM education refers to the subjects of Science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM). According to studies, giving a child this holistic understanding makes it much simpler to explain concepts from different fields later in life, whether using arithmetic to clarify art aesthetics or utilizing artistic talents to convey engineering concepts.
After all, the issues of today will decide the employment of tomorrow, whether it be sustainability or urban sprawl. The future workforce will value and, in certain situations, need the creativity and inventive thinking that STEAM instruction helps cultivate.
STEAM projects allow kids to see them from several angles since they are multidisciplinary at their foundation. In turn, this enhances their capacity to examine an issue they are attempting, assessing and analyzing potential repercussions as well as all viable methods and answers.
Furthermore. it goes without saying that individuals with expertise in STEAM fields are highly sought after for degrees and employment. There are currently insufficient experts and students working in STEAM sectors to meet the growing academic and professional demand.
In fact, A US survey found that 50% of prospective students who indicate an interest in or level of competency in STEAM areas are more prepared than the typical American high school student to handle STEAM courses in college.
Given our society’s current automatization and computing phenomena, we can only expect more STEAM-related positions to crop up. Young graduates will consequently have many more possibilities if they decide to pursue a career in a STEAM subject. Another factor to take into account is the fact that STEAM disciplines typically offer consistent and above-average salaries. While it’s not a straightforward case of running for the job that pays the best, giving a child more possibilities through STEAM education is a must.
