I would like to welcome you to our Halloween Gift Guide 2022: Printers Row Publishing Group’s book Squeaky Bat (Squeeze & Squeak). I was sent the book in exchange for a review. As soon as our dogs heard the squeak they tried to find the Bat on the book to play with.
I sat down this evening to read and I accidentally squeezed the Bat which made a cute little sound. Charlie and I laughed and laughed at them. Charlie and I sat down to read the book. Charlie was amazed to find out the Bat was a girl which I liked a lot. But Charlie said it should be a boy because they are better than girls. Which isn’t true. Or at least I don’t think so. What about you?
Before we began though Charlie and I discussed the cover and the figures on the book. Charlie let me know he would like to dress up like the little boy in the bandages for Halloween. I told Charlie I wouldn’t mind being a Ghost as long as I could be a friendly Ghost not a scary Ghost.
Charlie and I liked knowing the picture book is made of cardboard that will last for a long time. Making this the perfect Halloween book to add to our Library as it will last for years and years from one child to the next. The book is perfect for babies through children of all ages.
As well as Adults. who will like seeing the Bat cutout on each page. Charlie and I would like to find a cutout like in the book to use to make Halloween Cookies which I showed Charlie how to trace in his Art Class so we could make our own Cookie Cutter and color the Bat to use to decorate our Classroom with.
If you know someone who struggles with reading like David does they will be able to read this rhyming book with a little help from there friends or family. Charlie and I loved learning about all the different characters including the Werewolf which David said he would like to dress up as on Halloween.
