This is a review for HoldOn who sent me a variety of products to review including Compostable Tall Kitchen Trash Bags in exchange for this review.
Trash Bags may not be very glamours but everyone uses them at one time or another. A lot of us even use them for more than trash including turning them into moving boxes or laundry baskets. Charlie uses one to cover his bed when he isn’t sleeping in it to keep the dog hair off the bed.
I don’t know about you but I remember as a child visiting our local Fire Station for a box of Trash Bags each month with my parents. Then I grew up and we could purchase them in the store. Only my dad would have David bring trash bags or body bags as he called them home from the airport for him to use.
Before you ask yes, I’ve also used those garbage bags but there two big for me to manage. At times they tear and when putting liquids in them they’ve leaked. Not only that there big and black and wouldn’t fit in my trash can and end up in the floor taking up much needed space.
I kept telling David there had to be a better bag out there and he need to help me find them. Especially now that were in the apartment and tight on space. Even though David wasn’t listening and very helpful. The LORD knew my needs and brought me HoldOn who I was blessed to be able to work with.
HoldOn, is a sustainable household goods company that makes home compostable, nontoxic, plant-based products to help reduce pollution. We’ve developed a line of trash and kitchen bags to cut back on plastic waste without compromising convenience or performance.
This week David is picking up a new kitchen trash can for me. Until then we’ve been using these bags and setting them outside at night as the janitor picks up the trash for everyone in the complex. The other day when he picked up the trash he knocked on my door to ask me which brand of trash bags was I using.
Because unlike the ones our neighbor used they didn’t leak or break. I gave him the name of the bags and the website and he said he would let the owner of the complex know. The next day the office called and asked me to come into the office.
I went and they asked about the trash bags I showed them the website and explained the benefits to them. The apartment manager let me know she was going to let the owner know about the bags. I got a email yesterday that they would be purchasing these bags for all the janitor to use.
When anyone knew moves in there going to recommend they check out the bags for there apartments. When David heard this he took one of the bags to work to share with his boss who is planning on purchasing the bags to use in his home.
As for Charlie, David and I we couldn’t ask for a stronger trash bag. They do not leak and we never have a bad smell come from the bags. We’ve used them inside and also outside when cleaning my mother n laws yard. Charlie is so funny he even let me know he preferred these trash bags because there green instead of black.
Charlie also said he liked the box the bags come in and all the information they included which gives everyone everything they need to know. The box is easy to open and the trash bags come in a roll. All you do is unroll one and they tear off really easy.
The bags are soft and not stiff and there easy to close with the drawstring that is included. You can even open them back up to add more trash which we done and it didn’t mess the bag up. The drawstring makes a handy handle so you can just grab the bag and go.
Charlie said when he moves out and goes to college he will not need bulky suitcases he will just use these bags are not plastic and will not fill up landfills which we need to stop doing. Having a plant based non-toxic bag will keep everyone safer and from getting sick.
I don’t know about you but from these bags Charlie and my families new moto is “HOLDON” Would you join us in our journey and help clean up the environment not only using these trash bags but the kitchen bags they have as well. Also share this information with your friends and family.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
