Good afternoon, how are you? I wanted to bring you our series sharing Food Holidays: March 29th, 2022. Today is National Chiffon Cake Day and I don’t know about you, but I’m not sure I’ve ever had a slice of Chiffon Cake. Have you and did you like it?
Facts about Chiffon Cake:
- Many people believe Chiffon Cake is the ‘original’ Wedding Cake filling because a Chiffon Cake is a very light Cake created with the following ingredients Vegetable Oil, Eggs, Sugar, Flour, Baking Powder, and flavorings.
- The lack of Butter means the Chiffon Cakes lack much of the rich flavor of Butter Cakes, and hence they are served accompanied with flavorful sauces or other toppings, including Chocolate or Fruit Fillings.
- It is a combination of both batter and foam type Cakes.
