Be Legend Gaming

The Mommies Reviews

This weekend my family attend the Media Event at Be Legend Gaming.

Be Legend was hosting its first-ever Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament on March 5th. I believe your family would enjoy this news because the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is rapidly becoming a mecca for the esports industry. From the recent arrival of Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which is North America’s largest Esports arena, to big-time investors like Top Tier Sports and Jerry Jones purchasing teams, to restaurant-style event facilities like Be Legend Gaming popping up all over town. This tournament is another step in DFW’s esports journey.

Charlie had been upset with things happening in our home that are out of my control. I wanted to get Charlie’s mind off everything for a little bit. I wasn’t sure what to do or were to take Charlie. When the LORD answered my prayers and this Media Request arrived.

I read through the Press Release and saw all the different gaming systems including Nintendo Switch, PS4, XBOX series X/S, PC, or Oculus Virtual Reality games. I knew Charlie and David would be excited to attend Be Gaming Legends Tournament.

Once we arrived and checked in, I sat down. The Staff came and asked Charlie if he wanted to play a game. Charlie asked for Minecraft and if they had the game system X Box 1. They said yes, and Charlie asked to try it out. I knew this was the answer I had been looking for. I was just upset none of Charlie’s friends were around to come with us.

The LORD knew what he was doing turning this event into just our family attending. As Charlie began to play David and I looked around, and we went over all the Game Systems including Nintendo Switch, PS4, XBOX series X/S, PC, or Oculus Virtual Reality games.

I could see Charlie becoming more and more excited as he began to play on the TV’s they had set up. Next Charlie played Minecraft and even had a controller added so David would be able to play with Charlie. But by then David was playing Donkey Kong so I played with Charlie. Surprising both David and Charie as I usually don’t play Video Games.

Before Charlie began playing Minecraft Charlie played Rocket League to on X Box. I walked over to an older console that had old school games including Donkey Kong and Pacman. I played Pacman while Charlie and David played on the other console. Once I finished David came over and played Donkey Kong.

Charlie was so animated and had fun explaining the different games to me including Rocket League. Charlie took the time to show me how to play. Once we left., I even asked Charlie to get Rocket League for me at home which I wouldn’t have done before visiting Be Legend Gaming. Charlie said the next time we come he wants to try out the VR Headset as well as joining in a Tournament if they have one happening.

I liked that there was a full bar and a Menu not only containing Appetizer’s, but full dinners. Charlie picked out a Chicken Mozzarella Sandwich both Charlie and David liked a lot. David decided on Wings and picked out an order of 12 Buffalo Wings and Frys.

I decided on a Bacon Cheeseburger and because I don’t eat as fast as the guys, they helped me with my Cheeseburger. Both Charlie and David said the Cheeseburger is what they will order the next time we come. I love how we were able to share our meals and have plenty for everyone.

The only downfall was there isn’t tables to eat at other than a small Coffee Table while sitting on a couch, but we made it work even though it was a little uncomfortable. I love how the Staff including the Chef kept checking on us throughout the night.

David went and got a Beer and was able to try out a Beer he hadn’t had before. While I asked for Jack and Coke and was given a Double Shot. The second drink I had was Face roll $10 Deep eddy, cranberry vodka, lime juice, agave, sprite, and a lime wedge/cherry. I loved the taste and wish I knew how to make it at home.

As we were talking to the Staff, I mentioned to Charlie the After School program Be Gaming Legend host. I also explained too Charlie a lot of the Staff was Homeschooled as well. Charlie was excited to find that out. I love how they monitor the children to make sure they do their homework before playing a game when in the After School Program and parents can monitor their kids on their phones.

Charlie surprised me when he said he would like to attend the After School program which I would have signed Charlie up for, but Highland Village is too far for us to go on a daily basis and the weekly fee is more than David and I can afford at this time.

What I plan on doing is talking to David about Hosting Charlie’s Birthday party here in December Charlie will turn 15 and all of his friends are Gamers. I just have to figure out how to get Charlie’s friends to Highland Village and to be able to save the party fee which to me is a tad bit high although I’m sure it’s in league with other party places.
