Good morning, welcome to our series sharing Unique Holidays: February 27th, 2022, Charlie and I can’t wait to study Polar Bear and to celebrate Polar Bear Day. I’ve even got Charlie researching the local Zoos to see if they have Polar Bears and if so, we can’t wait to visit the zoo. Would you like to join us?
Polar Bear Day– always held on February 27th.
Polar Bear Day celebrates the world’s largest carnivore. A polar bear can grow up to nine feet tall(when standing) and 1400 pounds. They are a favorite at zoos around the country. Polar bears live at the North Pole region, and are native to Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Norway, and Russia.
Need some ideas on how to celebrate today? Tops on my list is visiting the local zoo to see live polar bears. Teachers like to use this day to teach about polar bears and other bears, as kids are fascinated with all kinds of bears. Also, check the nature channels on cable TV. The networks often pick up on holidays like today, and run documentaries.
Did you Know? It is believed that all polar bears are left handed. See Left Hander’s Day
No Brainer Day – this day is for me!
No Brainer Day – now this Holiday is for me and my family! How about you and your family? We certainly know someone was using his brain, when he created this Holiday.
By definition, a “No brainer” is doing something that is simple, easy, obvious, and/or totally logical. Therefore, today is the Holiday for you to do all those “no brainer” tasks and activities. If a project requires thinking of any kind, then it’s not the chore to do today.
Some people think that Christmas should be every day of the year. They even sing that theme in popular holiday songs although my family thinks that No Brainer Day should be every day of the year.
If you simply use your brain, you’ll quickly get the hang of the concept of the Holiday and, were certain you will excel at No Brainer Day!
History and Origin of No Brainer Day:
This day was the brainstorm of Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith, ‘America’s Premier Eventologist’ – per Insight Magazine – Washington, DC – August, 1995, and ‘The Premier Eventologist in the History of the World – per The Chicago Tribune – Chicago, Il – January 2001.
This is a really special and valuable day. Creating it, therefore, would be a no brainer! Documenting it, however, may not quite fit the spirit of the day.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
