This is a review for the children’s book Construction Site: Spring Delight: An Easter Lift-the-Flap Book (Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site) written by Sherri Duskey Rinker written by Sherri Duskey Rinker and Ag Ford who sent me a copy of the book in exchange for this review.
As soon as the book arrived, and I saw the cover with the Easter Egg on it I knew it would be the perfect East book for my nieces and nephews. Charlie also let me know the book would fit in perfectly with our Homeschool Lesson Plans on Big Machines or Construction.
David and Chalie loved finding out there were flaps to open and couldn’t wait to find out what was under each flap. I had to keep reminding them to read the book before working the flap and to slow down and take turns when opening the flaps.
Once David and Charlie finished with the book, I sat down to look through the book and as I did, I found myself lost in the story. Which lead to me asking Charlie what happened next in the book and Charlie created a story for his Creative Writing Class and Art for his Art Class.
Charlie even looked up the Author to find out books of hers he might want to read. Then Charlie made me a Wish List which is perfect with Easter right around the corner. Through the book we found words to use in our Spelling Class for Charlie’s Spelling Test.
We enjoyed finding animals and flowers that come out in Spring which has Charlie and I excited to start our Garden and to put out food so we can see what animals will come into our yard to eat. Allowing us to learn about new animals and flowers.
