Top 5 Easter Gift ideas
Can you believe how fast this year is passing? We just finished Christmas, and before we know, it will be Easter. If you’re like me, you pick up items for your children. And I try and stay away from Candy as much as possible.
But David thinks you have to have chocolate, or it isn’t Easter. So even though we disagree on a lot of items, we get for Charlie. There are 5deadfast items that make it into Charlies Easter Basket, and I thought I would share our Top 5 Easter Gift ideas.
The first item we know without a doubt will be in Charlies Basket is Bubbles and Chalk. We can play with these items inside and outside. We use these items when teaching Charlie just as much as play chalk and bubbles.
And we always look for new and different containers of Bubbles like ones that smell or have a favorite character. And the same for the chalk. As it makes the items that much more fun. Charlie knows he will be getting them.
The second item is a coloring book and crayons and a book about Easter as I love encouraging reading. I always try and pick out books that I know Charlie will read again and again and can share with his friends.
As I still remember his first Easter Book and it was a book about Biscuit as I wanted to get him the entire collection of Biscuit Books as Suzzane had them and I thought Charlie should have something she liked. So he would have a part of his sister with him at all times.
The 3rd item that makes it into every Easter Basket is at least one Hot Wheel car as all little boys need cars and they can never have enough of them. If the truth is known, I still like playing with Hot Wheels as well. I even have a collection of Hot Wheel cars. Now here is a tip for you we use Hot Wheels not only for play time but for learning as well in our Homeschool. In the following classes Art, Math, and Reading.
The 4th item Charlie knows he will receive is a new outfit and a Greeting Card with a little money in it. So he can pick out something he wanted for Easter that he might not get. Charlie usually purchases a Board Game or Legos with the money he receives. This year it might be Minecraft or Halo as Charlie loves them just as much as Legos. These can be used in Homeschool as well. So I hope he finds something that we can put together. As I like building things with Charlie and so does David.
Then the 5th item would be a movie he has asked for which allows us to add to our Movie Collection and to wind down after the Easter Egg Hunt. We usually ask my sister to dinner, and she watches the movie with us. I pick out a movie that I know Charlie will watch again and again. This year I think I will pick up Max for Charlie as he loved it when we went to see it at the Theater. Or The Good Dinosaur is out; I may pick it up as David and Charlie both liked it a lot. Or heck I might just get them a new WW Movie as they love Wrestling.
We put in some Gift Cards to places like the movies, and also McDonald’s so Charlie can get his favorite food. I try and put in a card to an online website he can play games on or order Movies through on rainy days.
This year with Charlie attending Homeschool I am going to enclose a Gift Card to Pley as Charlie can rent Legos to play with and we can use Legos in math, art, Science and so much more.
I like how we can rent Legos from Pley and not be penalized if we stop the subscription. Charlie will be able to pick out his favorite building toys and Electronics, and once he has finished playing with them, we mail them back into Pley. We do not have to look for places to store the legos and if he loses one from the toys we rent they do not charge us we just send them back in, and they fix the problem.
Plus Charlie has been asking why he doesn’t get any mail and by using Pley he will feel like a grownup and that he gets mail as well. And I know it will make Charlie so happy. That I can not wait to see what he does when the first toy arrives.
Since I do not know what all Charlie likes now as he is changing and growing up, he can put together a Wishlist on Pley, and I can go and order the toys off the list without Charlie knowing it. And it will allow me to surprise Charlie which I like.
If you’re wondering if Pley is only for little boys, it isn’t as it also offers doll clothes, Electronics and Preschool Toys which would be nice for my nieces and nephews. David and I are thinking about getting a subscription for my Nephew as his Birthday is the 24th. I am not sure what he would like or want although with him turning two it would be easier for his parents to pick out the toys they would allow him to play with than me going to a store and purchasing something they may not let him have.
