I received a copy of this book in exchange for a spot in our Christmas Gift Guide. Don’t forget to check out my first review for one of the Lindie Lou books here.

I am so excited to let you know about the second book in the Lindie Lou series and if Suzzie were here this is the one she most would have wanted to read. Can you guess why? Well. it’s because they are in New York City which Suzzie was lucky enough to visit. Before you ask no, I didn’t take her a friend did.

About Jeanne Bender

Jeanne Bender

Loves children, and loves to write, and she decided to create a children’s chapter book series. At the time, her puppy named Lindie Lou was traveling the world with her. Because of Lindie Lou’s adventurous spirit and adorable personality, Bender decided to write her books through the eyes of her puppy, Lindie Lou. She titled the series, the Lindie Lou Adventure Series.

In each of Bender’s books, Lindie Lou travels to a different place where she meets up with her brothers, sisters, and family members. They encounter new friends and learn social-emotional lessons (SEL) along the way, which are highlighted in red letters in each one of the books.

With a degree in business, Bender decided to refine her writing skills by studying with a creative writing professor in Seattle, WA. She enrolled in summer literature programs at Oxford University in the UK and formed a group of elementary school educators to help provide age-appropriate content. The Lindie Lou Adventure Series offers both boys and girls, easy-to-read chapter books at a second-grade reading level. Bender’s aim is to encourage children to advance from picture books into their first chapter books and still be entertained. To achieve this, she chose a large font format, kept the chapters short, created realistic adventures, and included many adorable, color illustrations.

The Lindie Lou Adventure Series books are on the “safe-reading list” with many distributors.

Bender lives in Seattle, WA, San Diego, CA, and Cabo San Lucas, MX.
