Good morning, welcome to our series sharing Unique Holidays: November 7th, 2021. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t mind celebrating Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day only I would like to switch the Chocolate out for Milk Chocolate. How about you?

National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day is today. Even though I love Chocolate Covered Almonds I prefer Milk Chocolate. My sister prefers Dark Chocolate. What about you do you like Chocolate Covered Almonds and if so which kind and why?

Did you know Chocolate is a Vegetable, that is made from Cocoa Beans. Almonds are good for you, and they help to improve your Cholesterol level. Making Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds is good for you.

On this special day, we will not question this logic…will you?

International Merlot Day– always held on November 7

Ladies and Gentlemen, raise your glasses in a toast to International Merlot Day. The wine glass is filled with Merlot, isn’t it!? We hope so and you are drinking one of the world’s most popular dry, Red Wines.

Merlot is considered a noble Grape. Did you know the word Merlot comes from the French word “Merlau” or “Merle” meaning “Blackbird”.  Merlot grapes are grown in many parts of the world but, nowhere is it more popular than in the Bordeaux Region of France. We all know the French know a good Wine when they taste it. Merlot Grapes are the most popular Grape in French Vineyards, comprising over 60% of the Vines in all of the Vineyards in the Country.

Without a doubt, you know what to do on International Merlot Da open up a bottle of Merlot, and enjoy a glass or two with a friend or two and don’t forget to invite your family to have a glass as well. Don’t forget the Cheese and Crackers.

There is a White Merlot and any Rosé Wine that is made from Red Merlot Grapes is called White Merlot.
