Good evening, welcome to our series sharing Food Holidays: September 21st, 2021. I was so happy when I found out it was National Pecan Cookie Day but I wish I had found out before David went to work because I would have had David take me to the Mall for a Pecan Cookie.
Since I didn’t have that opportunity if David gets off this evening I want to see if he will stop by Walmart and pick up a package of Keebler Sandies Pecan Cookies Cookies for my family to share with a glass of Milk for me and Soda for David and Charlie.. Would you like one of our Cookies?
Keebler Sandies Pecan Cookies Cookies
Pecan Sandies Cookies Recipe:
Ingredients
- 2 cups Butter, softened
- 1 cup Confectioners’ Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Water
- 4 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 4 cups all-purpose Flour
- 2 cups chopped Pecans
- Additional Confectioners’ Sugar
Preheat oven to 300°. In a large bowl, Cream Butter and Sugar. Add Water and Vanilla; mix well. Gradually add Flour; fold in Pecans. Roll dough into 1-in. balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten with fingers. Bake 20-25 minutes or until bottom edges are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. When cool, dust with confectioners’ sugar.
