Ingredients

Ferrero Rocher Cake Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour or maida
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 7 large eggs
  • 2 cups hazelnut flour
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Frosting Ingredients

  • ½ cup Nutella spread
  • ½ cup wafer crushed
  • 300-gram unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 2 ¼ cup choco chips or finely chopped chocolates

Garnishing Ingredients

  • 3/4th cup crushed wafers or hazelnuts
  • 10-12 Ferrero Rocher chocolates

Instructions To Bake A Ferrero Rocher Cake

Cake Layer Instructions

  • Take hazelnut flour in a bowl. Add all-purpose flour, cocoa powder and baking powder to it and mix well.
  • Now take another bowl and whip the seven eggs in it at high speed for almost 3 minutes until frothy. Slowly add the granulated sugar and keep beating it for nearly 15 minutes until the volume is tripled.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to it. Try to add the dry ingredients in three parts so that it mixes well.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take two 8 inches of cake pans, grease them and line them with parchment paper.
  • Now, take the two pans and divide the batter equally in them. Now, bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for almost 45 minutes or until the toothpick you insert comes out clean.
  • Till the cake is baking, start preparing for the frosting. 
  • Melt the choco chips or chopped chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave and bring it to room temperature.
  • Now beat the melted chocolate, unsalted butter, Nutella and wafers thoroughly until they are mixed and fluffy.
  • Now, take out the cake pans and let them cool down for 10-15 minutes.

Assemble For Garnishing Instructions

  • Now, as the cake is cooled down, split the cake into two layers horizontally.
  • Use 1/4th cup of frosting in layers and 3/4th for decorating the cake.
  • Now place a 1/4th cup of frosting on the serving plate and add a cake layer to it.
  • Gradually add the frosting on the layers of cake along with crushed wafers to it and press the other layers.
  • Cover the top layer and the sides with frosting and crushed wafers, and chopped hazelnut.
  • With the help of piping, add some dots at the top and Ferrero Rocher candies to it.
  • Keep the cake in the refrigerator if not served immediately.
  • Bring the cake to room temperature as you serve.
