Downtown Cowtown At The Isis

The Mommies Reviews

Last night my family were Blessed with 4 tickets to see Brian White at in the Fort Worth Stockyards at Downtown Cowtown At The Isis.

I was so excited and I knew if there was anyway possible I was going to the concert. That is if my foot was better and I could walk. Which thank the LORD my foot was still hurting and I couldn’t get my Tennis Shoe on but my Sandal went. Although my son and my protector didn’t think I should go.

Charlie did go and pick out a new shirt to wear last night as he was going to be my date because David was working. Thank the Lord for Sherry Cates who took us down to the show and the Lord for allowing David to get off early and join us.

Although, Charlie and I didn’t know David would be able to meet us we went on down. As we walked into the Isis Theater I felt my mom whispering to me this is were I used to come when I was a Teenager. We checked in and went into the Hallway were the Bar/ Concession Stand was and sat down.

On a beautiful Blue Velvet Banquet I would have liked to have in my home. The ceiling decorations and the Chandelier took my breath away. Charlie and I were going to go up to the second floor to check out Fall Gallery Night but my foot was hurting.

When my phone rang and David said he would be there at 7:30 because of 9/11 there weren’t’ that many planes. Even though Charlie enjoys being with me he was excited to find out his dad would be arriving soon to watch the Concert with us.

As we were sitting waiting on the show to begin one of the owners TJ came out and introduced himself to us. I wish you had the opportunity to meet him as it was like meeting a long lost friend. TJ surprised me when he let me know after the Concert there would be a Meet and Greet with Brain White.

I thought I had died and gone to HEAVEN knowing I would have the opportunity to meet one of my daughters favorite singers. Because unlike Charlie Suzzane was never able to attend a concert because the Lord called her home before we could go.

If you come to a Event at here you might want to bring a Jacket as it got a little cold for me but not David or Charlie. It’s first come first serve and Charlie and I would have been able to get on the First Row if we had wanted to. Which for me is a dream come true.

The concert started and we had the opportunity to listen to Scotty Alexander who I hadn’t heard before. But now that I have I am a new fan and can’t wait to purchase a album of his to add to my collection. As we listened to Scotty Alexander you could tell he is a genuine guy and someone you would be proud to call a friend.

Charlie loved hearing Scotty Alexander play songs he recognized and both Charlie and David were blown away with his the way he could play the Fiddle. Scotty Alexander opened up new Music for Charlie and I to study in Homeschool this year.

Then it was time for the Intermission as we waited for Brain White. Charlie and I went out to the Lobby with David who purchased a Beer that could be taken into the Auditorium while Charlie picked out a Candy Bar for himself. Although, the next time we come to a show we plan on having dinner at Riscky’s Steakhouse/ Although, Charlie said that depends on if he wants All You Can Eat Beef Ribs from Riscky’s Barbeque.

Finally Brian White came to the stage and as he did I felt a sense of calmness come over me. As I got lost in the Music I could feel Suzzie’s presence which I hadn’t felt in a long long time. Throughout the show I found myself reliving her life and some of the songs took my breath away.

I remembered dancing through our home with Suzzie singing Rebecca Lynn and I loved how he invited us to sing with him. I didn’t even realize it when Charlie asked me if I was okay because I was crying but not because I was sad but because I had a evening with my daughter which I never thought I would have.

There were two parts of this Concert I will never forget and its how he shared stories from his life with us including his dad’s passing and his children and how proud of them he is just as I am of Charlie. The second is he wasn’t in a hurry and would ask us if we were ready to go and even though the show ran over everyone there last night would have stayed all night and listened to him sing.

There was even a surprise guest who sang one of my all time favorite songs with Brian White and let me tell you by the time they finished both Charlie and David were hooked on his Music. If you haven’t had the opportunity to listen to Brain White you don’t know what your missing.

And throughout the show he would mention Millennials coming up to him and telling him how much there parents loved his music. I was able to let Brian White know I was one of those parents but even though I loved his Music Suzzie did even more than I did.

Living in Haltom City I was so happy and excited when Chase opened up the Haltom Theater as there would be a place to take my son and we have gone a lot in the past but a lot of stuff they put on isn’t appropriate for children. Having a second Theater close to me that offers Kid Friendly Events and things for Seniors like Classic Films on Monday for only $1. is a God-send and I feel safe enough that Charlie and I could go anytime by ourselves and have Dinner and a Mom/Son date.

Especially when they will be having people like Red Marlow from The Voice and A Twitty and Lynn Acoustic Christmas and Stage Fright at Downtown Cowtown at the ISIS Theatre, Ft Worth which Charlie wants to come see as a Homeschool Field Trip. Now, I may never sleep again if we do come but if it gets Charlie to spend time with me then you can bet your bottom dollar I will do my best to save the money and bring Charlie back.
