A could weeks ago Lily and Jason came to visit and I threw Charlie and then a impromptu #BacktoScool Party and we went to Dairy Queen for lunch. Which they hadn’t ever been to.
We walked in the door Jason said of I saw a commercial for Dairy Queen. They have Blizzards. Before I could answer Charlie told them yes, they have them.
I had the kids sit down at the table. I called them one at a time up to the Counter to order there lunch. I was very impressed by how kind the lady waiting on us was. She didn’t try and hurry us.
The kids all ordered a Kids Meal with Chicken Strips and Fries. Lily and Jason were able to switch out there Gravy for Ranch. Then Charlie took them to the Beverage Center were they were able pick out a Soda of there choice. Being able to make it on there own made then feel grown.
Debbie and I ordered and we choose the 6 piece Steak Finger Basket with Fries. Jason let us have his Gravy. Debbie chose a Cherry Coke which she and I shared.
Usually when I go to Dairy Queen I have them make me a Cherry Dr. Pepper or Cherry Coke made from scratch with Grenadine Syrup and Cherries and its so good.
Once dinner was over I let the kids know there kids meal comes with a a coupon for a Free Ice Cream. Lily and Jason asked for a Blizzard which I let them know wasn’t on the coupon but the another lady working there said they could get a Blizzard.
Charlie took the kids to the counter and ordered his Chocolate Dipped Cone and a Oreo Blizzard for Jason and Cookies and Cream for Lily. The lady working the counter told Charlie Blizzards weren’t included in the Free Ice-cream.
I was so happy when Lily and Jason didn’t fuss and said they would also take a Chocolate Dipped Cone which they hadn’t tried. But Debbie and I let them know this is our favorite dessert and they were excited to try it out.
Lily and Jason loved the Ice Cream Cone and before they got done with it a man who worked there came and asked me if he could ask the kids a question.
I said that would be fine and he asked them what kind of Blizzard they wanted and went back and made Lily and Jason one. Charlie didn’t want one and was happy with his Chocolate Dipped Cone.
All in all Lily and Jason ended up with two Ice Creams but they had eaten all of there lunches and we were celebrating so it was okay to splurge and get something they usually wouldn’t have.
Before you ask what Debbie and I picked out for Dessert I would like to let you know neither of us got a Ice-cream because we wanted to stay on our Diets and our lunch but wasn’t on the Diet Plan.
But sharing our Lunch each of us had Two Chicken Strips and a few Fries and I ate both pieces of Texas Toast while Debbie ate more of the Fries. Then we gave the other Chicken Strips to Charlie.
I wish all Customer Service places had Staff like this Dairy Queen does because they went above and beyond what you expect to make sure we all were happy when we left.
