Every Little Kindness

The Mommies Reviews

This is a review for the children’s book Every Little Kindness written by Marta Bartolj who sent me a copy in exchange for this review.

I sat down with Charlie to read Every Little Kindness. What I wasn’t expecting was a wordless picture book which Charlie and I couldn’t remember ever seeing.

But as we looked at the pictures we got drawn into the story and could tell what was happening and could almost feel the characters talking. Charlie and I had fun adding our own words and we changed it many times.

The drawing are empowering and there is color but they reminded me of a black and white photo. Charlie and I want to find more books by Marta Bartolj and also more wordless picture books to add our own spin to in our Homeschool Art Class and also Language Arts.

About:

Follow the trail of good deeds in this beautiful wordless picture book to learn how small acts of kindness can make all the difference!

When one act of kindness sparks another, anything is possible! As a girl searches for her lost dog, a simple act of generosity ripples into a wave of good deeds. In the course of a single day, each considerate action weaves lives together and transforms a neighborhood for the better.

This wordless story, told in beautiful illustrations reminiscent of a graphic novel, demonstrates how every little kindness, shared from person to person, can turn a collection of strangers into a community, and—even though we might not always see it—make the world a more vibrant and compassionate place to be.
