I would like to introduce you to a new children’s book He Came With The Couch published by David Slonim which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.
This morning Charlie was having a Blah day and didn’t want to do anything even though his friend was home for the week. Finally I went and got my copy of He Came With The Couch out to read.
I begin reading I could feel myself shaking my head and laughing out loud. Charlie heard me and came to see what I was laughing at. I showed him the book and before I knew what was happening Charlie sat down to look through the book.
Then Charlie asked his dad to come look and together they read the story and couldn’t stop talking about the couch and what came with it. Charlie even said he wished there were more stories about the couch.
As we discussed the story and the words Charlie didn’t know David and Charlie came up with Lessons for us to use in Homeschool and Charlie even said we should take a Field Trip to a Rummage Store which wouldn’t have happened before reading this book.
If you want to laugh and learn what a couch might come with then you need to grab a copy of He Came With The Couch and sit down on your couch to read this cute funny heartwarming story for people of all ages. Including adults.
Sophie’s family has found the perfect couch, but it comes with something extra, and getting rid of that extra something is impossible. In the end, though, who would want to?
This zany tale of upholsterosis (a chronic state of couch-potato-ness) is sure to tickle the funny bones of young readers and not-so-young-readers too!
