Ultimate Blog Challenge-August 3rd, 2021

Good morning, I thought I might be a day late in the Ultimate Blog Challenge-August 3rd, 2021 because we went over 24 hours without Electricity and I like to get my post done in the evening because morning’s get hectic around here.

But the Lord had other plans for us and let me tell you that was no, Picnic when I woke up at 2 am having trouble breathing and sweating up a storm. Not knowing what was going on.

I thought I was having a Panic Attack and couldn’t figure out while the Air Conditioner was off until I realized the Storm had knocked all the lights out around me.

Thank GOD I had a book I could sit out under the Carport to read while David and Charlie slept. Which I don’t know how they managed because it was hotter than Hatties.

At 7am I checked on David’s parents who also didn’t have lights. Then I got Charlie up and we went to eat and run errands while the lights were off so we could get into a store that would have Air.

Then back home to check on the dogs to make sure they weren’t to hot. Then we all just stayed home for a bit and then went to see if there was a movie we wanted to see but there wasn’t.

David called TXU Electric and they said our lights wouldn’t be on until 9:30 by then it was 4:30 so Charlie wanted to go to Game Stop and we needed to eat.

David and I decided on Cotton Patch which was in the same parking lot at Game Stop. After eating we went into Game Stop and Target but neither had what Charlie wanted.

Then David went on to Walmart and David and Charlie went in and got Charlie his Game Controller while I sat in the car to charge our phones encase the lights was still off.

Then we started home at 7:15 by the time we pulled into our neighborhood we saw some of the neighbors outside lights on so I knew ours would be as well.

Thank the Lord. Once we got inside Charlie and David took the cars outside. While I went in and made sure the Air was on. Then they went to watch a movie while I worked a bit.

After the day I had all I can say is I will never take lights for granted again and neither is Charlie or David. Have a Blessed day and I need to run as I have massive housework to do and a lot of work on my site.
