The other night I wanted to surprise David and Charlie after we went out to dinner. I asked David to go into Hurst and once there I had him follow the directions I gave David until we reached Mad Mike’s Ice Cream.
As soon as Charlie and David saw were we were they couldn’t get out of the car fast enough. As we walked in I saw the Tie Dyed Tables I would like to have under our Carport.
We walked up to the Counter were Charlie and David looked through the Menu. As they discussed what they wanted I let the server know I wanted a Hot Fudge Sundae.
I let her know I wanted Chocolate Sauce and Whipped Cream and that I wanted Nuts. Even though our Sundaes only come with 2 Topping and extra’s cost which I was fine with. Then she asked me if I wanted the Cherry and I said yes, because I knew David would want it.
Charlie ordered next and choose a Double Dip of Butter Pecan in memory of my dad. I must tell you I know not to order two dips because I wouldn’t have been able to finish my Ice Cream but Charlie did.
I was BLESSED when Charlie offered me a taste and I must say I wish I had ordered the Butter Pecan which was Creamy and had just the right amount of Pecans.
David ordered Butterfinger but was torn between a couple other flavors. When the server let David know he could split his Ice Cream into two flavors or even order a Combo but David stuck to two dips of Butterfinger.
David asked me and Charlie if we wanted a bite but neither of us did. So David ate both dips and being David he said he would have liked to have a Third Dip. Were he would put that at I have no, clue. LOL
I was able to talk to the server and we were told all the Ice Cream is made in house and uses only a couple ingredients and no, added Sugar. There is a Lemon Cone and Gluten Free Ice Cream which both sell out of fast.
If you visit mad Mikes make sure you get your Punch Card because you can earn Free Ice Cream and thanks to #tasteofHEB we only need one more punch and our card will be full.

Here is fun fact for you. At Mad Mike’s were allowed to chose the color of spoon we want. I picked out Blue for Charlie. Charlie picked out pink for Suzzie and David got Purple for me.
