Welcome back to our series for HomeschoolwithBoardGames Planet Voyagers. David picked Planet Voyagers out to go with our studies on the Solar System this week.

Planet Voyagers is the perfect addition for #FamilyGameNight as well as Homeschooling when your learning about the Solar System and the Planets. Which is one of out Unit/ Lesson Plans this year.

I loved the cover of the box with the Rocket on it and so did Charlie. He used the picture to create his own Rocket Ship in our Art class to hang up on his wall.

Charlie and I like how Planet Voyagers takes only 30 minutes to play leaving us enough time to play a second game. My niece Lily who is 6 and my nephew Jason who is 7 was over this week and Charlie was able to teach both of them how to play Planet Voyagers without any help from the adults.

The game does says its for children 8 and older but if you take the time to teach your children like Charlie did. Younger children would be able to play Planet Voyagers and have fun while learning just as Lily and Jason did.

Having Planet Voyagers will make learning about Astronomy, the Planets and Rockets so much more fun. Charlie even enjoyed reading the instructions and explain how the game is played to everyone.

Planet VoyagersLaunching April 2021

Planet Voyagers focuses on astronomy and strategy and lets you tour space, visit planets, and explore and research this amazing solar system we live in. Journey from planet to planet and send out research probes to earn points and learn interesting facts about the celestial bodies near and far! Planet Voyagers is intended for 2-5 players ages 8 and older and takes 30 minutes to play.

Three, two, one blast off! Journey through space visiting our planets and learning amazing facts about our solar system. The race begins at the Sun and each player chooses which cards to play from their hand to either advance their rocket or research other planets to gain more points. So chart your course to be the “top” Planet Voyager.

Skills Focus :  Astronomy,  Strategy

Game Includes:

  • 5 Data Boards
  • 9 Disks (1 Sun and 8 Planets)
  • 8 Research Tokens

Each round, players play one card from their hand with the goal of gaining the most points. Points are earned by advancing their rocket pawns across our solar system, by sending out ‘research probes’ and by identifying planetary information on their data boards. The first player to reach Neptune or earn 12 points wins the game.
