Welcome to our post in our series Unique Holidays May 2nd, 2021. Take a look at the Holidays and let me know which one you most would like to celebrate and why.
Baby Day celebrates babies! At least we think it does. The day is recorded in countless internet websites and especially ecard companies. Having this day gives us the opportunity to celebrate the miracle of birth and life.
Parents, especially new parents, can celebrate this day by spending extra time with your infant. After all, they will be babies for an all too short time. If you know of someone with a baby ask if they could use some help today.
For young couples who have yet to have children, maybe today is a day to do something special so you will be able to enjoy Baby Day next year. Now that sounds like fun.
Brothers and Sisters Day is a day to cherish your siblings. Sure, there are times when you love your brothers and sisters. And, there’s times when you want to disown them.
All in all, having a brother and/or a sister or two, is invaluable. The older you get, the more you learn to appreciate them. Do you have a sister or brother:
I have one of each and lot of women whom I wish was my sister and one many whom I wish was my brother. David has two brothers and Charlie has three sisters and one brother. As well as three wanna be sisters and two brothers. Before you ask what is a wanna be sister they were Suzzane half sisters and brothers as well as her best friends. Who have adopted Charlie.
Celebrate Brothers and Sisters Day by touching them in some way. A card or a phone call is appropriate for those who are separated by too many miles. Which I did try and leave my brother a message yesterday but he didn’t respond.
As for my sister I am taking her out to dinner tomorrow for her Birthday which was the 4th and inviting her over on Sunday for Mothers Day Dinner. Would you like to join us?
If you have a sister or brother visiting then, or sharing a meal together, is a great way to enjoy this special day. If you can’t do either then drop a card in the mail to them.
If you don’t have siblings then think about becoming a a “Big Brother” or Big Sister”. Chances are, there is an organization in your area and, they need your help.
Did you know Suzzane had a Big Sister Stevie from Big Brothers and Sisters and her and her family are still a part of my families lives.
