Creative Cookie Recipes

The Mommies Reviews

Good morning. How are you? Being Sunday I thought Charlie and I could back Cookies for our #HomeschoolCookingClass this week. As I was preparing the ingredients I thought you might want to bake cookies as well with your family. Here is a list I put together featuring Creative Cookie Recipes. As you take a look at the list let me know which cookies you would most like to make and why.

Moroccan Sesame Cookies by Hilda’s Kitchen

Chebakia are traditional Moroccan cookies, shaped like roses. The cookies are fried until golden brown, coated in syrup, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. In the Middle East, these delicious cookies are usually served for Ramadan and other special occasions.

Epic Marshmallow Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies by Bean Around the Bowl

Soft -not too sweet- cookie surrounds mini Marshmallows to bring the perfect balance to this cookie. For the Marshmallows I used Pumpkin Mini Dandies, however I believe these are only available for a limited time of year, you can absolutely substitute normal full size Dandies. I recommend slicing them in half as they are much larger.

Matcha Cookies by Zardy Plants

Persimmon and Rye Thumbprint Cookies by Slumber and Scone

Have you ever had anything Persimmon flavored before? They are such an interesting Fruit, with a sweet and subtle flavor, reminiscent of a honeyed Apricot or Mango.

Whether Persimmons are new to you or an old favorite, I know that you will love these thumbprint cookies. They highlight the flavor by placing Persimmon Jam in the middle of the Almond and Rye Cookie.

Ricotta Cookies are classic Italian Cookies usually served at Christmas, Easter and other special occasions. These soft, easy Ricotta Cookies are so light and moist almost like eating a soft sponge cake.

Not only are these light in texture, these are light in calories too! With only 66 calories in each cookie, there’s no need to feel guilty when you sneak in that extra piece.

Coquito Cookies by Sense and Edibility

I’m pretty sure it’ll be the softest cookie you’ve ever bitten into, too. Since I’m always down for indulging in a bit of Coquito- it is one of my favorite parts of the holidays, after all- I thought that baking it into my cookies makes the most sense. But what made even more sense was topping it with a Coquito-Infused Buttercream.
