Finally we’ve found books Charlie enjoys and doesn’t mind reading. I would like to let you know they are a series of children’s books called The Fly Guy published by Tedd Arnold.
I would like to say thank you to Charlie’s grandmother Sherry who was shopping at Sam’s Warehouse one day and found this book which came with several different stores in it.
Sherry purchased There’s A Fly Guy in My Soup for Charlie not knowing if this book would work in homeschooling or not. Or even if Charlie would like There’s A Fly Guy in My Soup which Charlie did.
I would like to let you know There’s A Fly Guy in My Soup are a perfect addition to our reading class. I would like to thank Tedd Arnold, Sams Warehouse.
Also the Half Price Book Store as they carry this series of books and when shopping for the books they helped me get Charlie excited about reading because they had books from this series we didn’t have.
The other day Charlie and I went back to Sam’s Warehouse and they didn’t have any Fly Guy books. Then I went to Barnes and Noble and they didn’t have any either.
I was about to give up when Charlie’s grandmother stopped at Half Price Books. Sherry found several Fly Guy books including There’s A Fly Guy In My Soup.
As soon as Sherry dropped this book off Charlie sat down to read the story and he was able to read the book without help from me. This was great because I thought Charlie might struggle and get frustrated and refuse to finish reading this novel which didn’t happen.
Once David got home from work Charlie asked his dad to sit down and he read the story to his father which is a plus because Charlie will not read to his dad unless I make him.
I asked Charlie what he liked about There’s A Fly Guy In My Soup and he says he enjoyed the story line and the pictures inside the book. Along, with the fact the main character is a Fly.
The Fly Guy books are different from books Charlie has read in the past and Charlie likes the escapades the Fly gets into in the books which would keep you on your feet following along.
If you would like a new series of books for the children in your family to read I would like to suggest you check out The Fly Guy and if you work in a school and they don’t carry these books ask them to order them for the library because children of all ages would like these stories.
