Yes, you heard me right I am telling you to be scared. Very very scared. As Santa brought Charlie tools. And Charlie loves taking things apart and putting them back together again. So be watching as he might take something of yours apart and try and put it back together again. So David and I have warned my sister as she parks her car out front and Charlie might decide to fix it for her.
Or he might decide to take our fence down and put it back up. Which I agree needs done and that our landlord will not do it for us. But I can not afford for Charlie to as we need the fence to keep the dogs in. And to keep the neighbors dogs out. So I have been watching to make sure Charlie doesn’t take the tools outside.
And I am afraid if one of the dogs makes him mad that he might hit them with the hammer. Especially Thor as he and Charlie like to get into skirmishes all the time. And I do not need to take the dogs to the vet. And if Charlie hits one of them I might just have to. Or take him to the doctor if the dogs bite him for hitting them. Which if they did I couldn’t blame them. But I do not want them to be taken away. So I have to keep the tools away when Charlie is playing with them.
So you might ask if we are scared of Charlie having the tools he received and it is because we want him to learn to take care of his toys and to be able to fix small things in his room.As well as build the Robots he loves to build.
And we can use the tools in homeschooling as they have a measuring tape so we can do math with them. Plus there is a level and he can see what is isn’t level and how far it would need to be moved to be level. Which would be a math lesson for Charlie.
Plus using Screwdrivers and Pliers means he would have to pay attention and focus on what Charlie is doing. And this will help him with his ADHD. So all in all the tools are not only for fixing things but will become a part of homeschool. Which I am sure a lot of people wouldn’t have thought of. But that is why I love homeschool as it is flexible and we can incorporate the types of things Charlie likes to do the most.
