Here are the bottles that came inside the case I was received.
1.) Pierfosco Toscano Rose I.G.T. Tuscany Italy 2019
Our 2019 Pierofosco Toscana Rosé I.G.T. is developed in the 3,000 year old wine region of Tuscany, Italy. Like the famous 20th century filmmaker this wine is named after, Pierofosco is truly a developer of masterpieces.
This soft Italian Rosé displays a blush color with copper reflections. Aromas and flavors of orange blossom and wild strawberries are matched with a light floral bouquet. Its palate is soft, full-bodied with a well-balanced, lasting finish.
Although best paired with appetizers, this Rosé also shines with oysters or really any seafood.
2.) 2018 Fox and the Flock Pinot Noir
This Pinot Noir from California truly is the sum of its parts. Assembled from legs of warm climate and cool climate lots, the usage of multiple appellations shows through its cool climate earthy components contrasted by its warm climate Jammy nuances and extracted red fruit.
On the palate, expect flavors of Strawberry Jam and tart Cherry finished with dried Cranberry and a mild hue of Vanilla and toasted Nutmeg from French Oak aging.
Fox and the Flock Pinot Noir is the perfect wine for Thanksgiving, pairing exceptionally well with Turkey and Cranberry sauce or mixed Cheeses and dried Fruit.
3.) 2018 George Phillips Cellars Reserve Selection No. 013 Cabernet Sauvignon
This 2018 George Philips Cellars Reserve Selection No. 013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium-bodied, dry red.
This wine is fruit-forward with notes of black cherry and black currants. Cedar, baking spices, and even graphite aftertastes will follow.
Pair this wine with pepper sauces atop of rich grilled meats, like steak or pork. Don’t shy away from flavor since the black currant aromas can be too overbearing for the lighter dishes.
4.) 2019 Rotondo Frappato Sicily I.G.T.
It is no wonder that with at least 6,500 years of winemaking experience, Sicilian wines continue to be some of the best in the world. This 2019 Rotondo Frappato I.G.T. is a perfect example coming from Baglio Parisi’s third generation family run winery, selecting the best grapes from their Frappato-devoted vineyards. Frappato is mainly planted in Sicily producing light bodied wines that are very fragrant with red fruit notes.
Expect a unique wine drinking experience as this Rotondo greets you with delicate perfumes of bergamot, dried florals, raspberry and pepper. A savory, lasting finish leaves notes of red fruit and spice on the tongue.
Pair with Italian antipasti, chicken marsala or risotto.
5.) 2019 De La Rougerie Merlot Velvety, Juicy Red from Award-Winning Winery
Elegance, curiosity, and flair abound in this plummy French red. It is the latest vintage and a follow-up to the award-winning 2017 De La Rougerie Merlot.
This Merlot is soft and fruit-laden, deep in color with ripe and concentrated flavors of velvety plums and juicy black fruits. It is composed of grapes from Pays d’Oc, Languedoc, France. The vineyard’s particular geographical location and plantings on clay limestone hillsides brings elegance and roundness to the wine.
The De La Rougerie collection is a tribute to winemaker Benoit Calvet’s ancestor, Madame de la Rougerie, an icon who embodied elegance, curiosity, and flair. This line of mono-grape cuvée wines boasts the same characteristics as the woman who inspired their name.
Award-winning Benoit Valérie Calvet is based in Bordeaux, France, and has vineyards in this renowned region and across Europe. Benoit Valérie Calvet has been combining tradition and innovation to design and produce enjoyable, high-quality wines for more than 35 years.
We recommend pairing this exceptional Merlot with red meat, hard and soft cheeses, and pasta.
6.) 2019 L’arca Chardonnay Sicily I.G.T.
Our 2019 L’arca Chardonnay Sicily I.G.T. boasts wonderfully full flavors resulting from its cultivation in the fertile, Mediterranean climate of Sicily, Italy.
L’arca Winemakers are famous for their decades of research reviving old Italian varietals. These same winemakers produce wines that can deliver a fine and intriguing character, unique of the land where these grapes are cultivated.
This Summer white is sure to impress with initial aromas of Grapefruit and Lime, followed by smooth flavors of Lemon Zest and Vanilla. Its palate is of balanced tannins with moderate acidity, making it a more versatile pairing than most Chardonnays.
