Remember to Smile

Good morning, I would like to share a new children’s book with you. Remember to Smile published by Shannon Q. McDonald is inside our Christmas Gift Guide Shopping for: Boys & Girls.

I can’t wait to share Remember to Smile with my daughter Leslie so she can share the story about mask with my grandson Elijah. Once she is done reading this new book we can share it with my mother in law Sherry who can read the book to Dixie who will not keep a mask on.

Florida mom-of-two Shannon Q. McDonald wanted to find a way to tell her kids about face masks in kid-friendly language while also making them laugh at the same time.

Her new full-color children’s picture book for kids ages 2-6 years old describes and illustrates the different styles of masks, characters that wear them, when you can wear them, and interesting ways to use them.

Colorful and funny illustrations bring the book to life and will have kids giggling on the floor. Remember to Smile proudly supports the COVID-19 Relief Fund (for Teachers and Students) through the non-profit organization AdoptAClassroom.org. Visit to learn more.

Meet the Author:

I am a wife, mother and practicing attorney living in sunny South Florida. Originally from Michigan, I am a midwest girl at heart. I’d like to thank my husband for being supportive as I worked on this project.

My two children, Sloane 5 and Sean 3, were my inspiration for this book. And of course we can’t forget our beloved weiner dog, the “star” of the book, Rudy. We are trying to keep the fame from going to his head…. 🙂

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
