I have been in love with Patrick Swayze it seems like forever. And when he passed away I felt like a part of me went with him. But the one thing I knew was that my daughter was on top of the world as she had also passed away back in 2004. But when she was here she was obsessed with Dirty Dancing. So now she has her icon in Heaven with her. And I am so happy about that. As I miss her terribly and I just want her to be happy.
So as David and I was shopping the other day at a small town book store we found One Last Dance by Patrick Swayze and I didn’t know it but David bought it for me. So I would always have Patrick with me. And I am so excited that he did. As I can share my love of Patrick Swayze and his life with Charlie and we can do a book report on him in school.
Plus we can have a “FREE DAY” and watch Ghost and Dirty Dancing which Charlie also enjoys. Then we can get up and Dance and it will count as exercise. So as you can see you can use even the most unusal items in homeschool and it will count as a lesson.
So today Charlie and David are going to the Comic Book store to pick up some comics to read as well. Which I am excited about as we can use them to discuss illustrations and practice out drawings and we can make up our own stories and make a Comic Book Hero.
So what are you doing for school this week? An what unusual or different items are you using and what are you teaching with these items and why?
