Good morning, how are you? Here we are on Day 2 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge. It’s hard to believe we are in the middle of the Summer and everyone is staying inside due to Covid-19.
I miss swimming and visiting my family and friends. I am terrified of what is going to happen when our children return to school. If I could I would take my family and hide out on a beach somewhere but that isn’t going to happen.
Instead I stay inside while David works. I am preparing for school as Charlie is going to Homeschool again. I work on my blog and I PRAY for the clients and local businesses that are having to keep there doors closed.
I wish I had a way to purchase from everyone and help them be seen but that isn’t feaseable. But I can and do Pray for them all the time. I buy dinner out when I can to help local resturants.
I also plan on purchasing Gift Cards for businesses for Charlie and David to get for Christmas. Including NRH20 our local water park that closed yesterday.
If you can please do the same as I know these companies would appreciate your support. If your a business owner and I can help you in any way please let me know.
In the meantime the prompt for this morning we were to share how we got started in our Niche and it was a way to remain home with Charlie when he was a baby.
12 years later here I am and no, I am not rich or famous but I enjoy what I do and the opportunities the blog and the LORD has brought to my family. As well as the friends I have made. So there is no, stopping me now.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
I have been spending time in our yard. We walk the neighborhood, but I miss doing the “normal” things. We have been trying to buy from one local business a week. We were able to go out to eat at a friend’s restaurant for our anniversary, so that was fun.
I am very fortunate that Covid-19 has not affected me a huge amount. I am retired and am a bit of a homebody. My partner does the grocery shopping even before Covid. I have had to take my mother to doctor’s appointment during the shutdown but it was ok. It must be so difficult for young working family with children. You are doing great.
Praying for those who are impacted in their business life is a worthy and active thing to do – thank you for mentioning it. Yes, we’re all shifting what we feel and think in this unique time and homeschooling was a good thing for our children 20 years ago, I’m sure your children will thank you! The idea of gift cards for Christmas is a great idea!
I’m with you, almost 5 years of blogging, not sign of ever getting rich with it. But I’m having a great time helping others, teaching ways to save and sharing Lia and her smiles! I had such a great time on you two challenges!!
