Designing the Perfect Mom-Friendly Home Spa Kit

Moms put in a lot of hard work. Between taking the kids to school and soccer practice, keeping the house clean, and maintaining a healthy and successful career, it’s safe to say they deserve a break. And what better way could there be to thank and reward moms than with a luxurious, nourishing, and totally mom-worthy home spa kit?

In this post, we’ll walk you through the basics of designing your own home spa kit for moms. Read through this for a guide to making the ideal thank-you gift, birthday treat, Mother’s Day surprise, or just-because present for the super hero moms in your life!

Start with apparel

You can’t exactly spa in jeans. The first thing your mom will need is a comfy set of clothes to wear as she enjoys her spa experience, and we know just the things. Try these out when you put together your home spa kit:

  • Some soft fleece or silk pajamas that she can sit back and relax in
  • Cushy and fuzzy slippers that her feet will practically melt into
  • A luxury robe that will wrap her in happiness and warmth

Once the kit is loaded with comfy and relaxing apparel that will make the spa day a dream come true, it’s time to focus on the next items.

Deliciously scented soaps and lotions

No spa basket is complete without amazing-smelling soaps that will make baths, showers, and post-bath moisturizing heaven on earth. Looking for tips on the best scents? These are our favorites:

  • Dreamy jasmine
  • Luscious lavender
  • Enticing eucalyptus
  • Opulent orchid
  • Radiant rose
  • Mellow mint

Soaps, lotions, and scrubs will make your mom’s spa day sweet as can be!

Bath tray

While your mom is enjoying a luxurious soak in the tub, why not make some bath time recreation easier for her? After all, the last thing she wants is to drop her phone or magazine into the tub. That’s no way to enjoy a spa day. To help avoid this calamite, supply your mom with an awesome bath tray!

These nifty contraptions make it easy to keep your phone, a book, or even a snack at a safe distance from the water.

Candles and scent diffusers

Nothing says “spa day” quite like a deliciously scented candle or essential oil scent diffuser. The lovely aroma, wafting over while your mom starts her facial, will bring thoughts of peace, tranquility, and quiet.

Be sure you opt for candles made from all-natural materials like oat milk and beeswax, so your mom doesn’t have the misfortune of inhaling unnatural chemicals while enjoying her spa day. Essential oils made from natural herbs and fruits are also great, and even possess special healing properties on some occasions!

Massage supplies

An essential part of a spa day is a massage. And, while you might not be able to spring for an all-out professional massage, there are still some cool options you can choose instead.

A rolling massager, for instance, is a great way to allow your mom to treat herself to a good rub during her spa day. Better yet, if you’ve got the budget, gift her an electric massage pad that can be fitted over a chair for a gift that keeps on giving!

Nail Polish

No self-care day is complete without nail polish. And the ideal spa day of course always includes a mani-pedi, so why not treat your mom to a few bottles of nail polish, so she can paint her nails whatever color she likes on her special day!

Be sure to include nail polish remover, so she can take off any nail polish she may have already had on, as well as a clear topcoat so the polish stays on for weeks to come!

Champagne & treats

Perhaps most importantly of all, your mom should treat herself to luxurious and expensive champagne and tasty treats on her special spa day! In your gift basket, include some of her favorites like:

  • Chocolate covered strawberries
  • Fresh fruits
  • Coffee cakes
  • Tea biscuits and cakes
  • Nuts
  • Charcuterie platter
  • Aged cheeses

And, of course, some champagne or white wine that she can happily sip as she eases into a nice bath.

Moms deserve the best spa days they can get – so treat them (or yourself!) to one with these great tips.

Thank you,
