Texas Cowboy Rodeo Hall of Fame

The Mommies Reviews

For those of you who aren’t aware of it I am obsessed with the Rodeo, Cowboys and Bull Riding. In High School my boyfriend even rode in the Rodeo.

As I grew up I found three movies I watch over and over 8 Seconds with Luke Perry from 90210. Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack about Jack Favor who was my best friends grandfather. Cowboy Up with Keiffer Sutthland.

8 Seconds (DVD)
Professional bull-riding. The roughest, most dangerous, most grueling competitive sport. Life or death … victory or defeat … decided atop a 2,000 pound bull in 8 Seconds. In this riveting drama based on the life story of American hero Lane Frost (Luke Perry), dreams, ambition perseverance and sacrifice lead to an Oklahoma boy’s meteoric rise to fame as a champion bull-rider before his rough and tumble life is tragically cut short. To stay atop a bucking bull, holding on with just one hand, takes equal parts skill, courage, luck and determination from those willing to risk all for the ultimate thrill in 8 Seconds

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
David and I knew there was the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma but when we went we didn’t see anything on Cadillac Jack or Lane Frost. The other day David said I wonder why there isn’t a Cowboy Museum in Fort Worth.

I got online and searched. I found the Stockyards Museum in Fort Worth. I kept looking. I found the Texas Cowboy Rodeo Hall of Fame . I searched there website to see if they had a display on Lane Frost.

As soon as I found out they did I let David know I wanted to go to the Fort Worth Stockyards to check out the Texas Cowboy Rodeo Hall of Fame. David surprised me on Tuesday when he asked me if I wanted to go.

Let me tell you I couldn’t get my shoes on fast enough. If you haven’t been I hope you take the time to check out Texas Cowboy Rodeo Hall of Fame and the Fort Worth Stockyards Museum as soon as possible and you can use them in your Homeschooling.

Also in the Fort Worth Stockyards is the Military Museum which David and I plan on returning to look through. As well as watching a Cattle Drive in person.
