March 26th is my dad’s Birthday and his first one in Heaven. I know its going to be a sad day for my sister and I. To keep us busy I am thinking I will take Charlie along with my niece Lily and my nephew Jason to the Sensory-Friendly Family Day at the Nasher | March 26
What: Enjoy a FREE early evening in the garden of the Nasher Sculpture Center. Explore and discover art through active and quiet learning activities geared for children with sensory processing challenges.
When: Thursday, March 26, 2020, 4:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.
Where: Nasher Sculpture Center, 2001 Flora Street Dallas, TX 75201
Details: Once a year, the Nasher Sculpture Center provides an opportunity for children with sensory processing challenges to learn, play and enjoy art through a variety of different learning activities. Activities include:
- scevenger hunts
- art making stations
- story time
- activitiy tables offered by community partners including the Dallas Zoo, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Arboretum, and Dallas Public Library
- Sensory tents and sensory quiet rooms facilitated by occupational therepy students from Texas Womens University
Free admission and free parking with advance registration. Directions and event-specific social story will be sent to registrant’s email address prior to the event.
