Koala Corps Hold the Babies

The Mommies Reviews

The holidays mean different things to different people, from spending time with family and loved ones, to community gathering and of course gift giving.

Koala Corps

Unfortunately, for many families, the reality is you can’t always spend time with the ones you care most about even in times of great need. Did you know there are hundreds of infants at hospitals like the Children’s Hospital of LA and across America that rarely have visitors to comfort them while they are kept long-term at the hospital for a myriad of different reasons?

With that in mind, we’d like to suggest including a donation to Koala Corps. Koala Corps is an organization dedicated to helping the Children’s Hospital of LA expand their program of hiring and training volunteers to spend time with infants who have no one to comfort them while their parents need to work, or, in certain cases when they have been abandon at the hospital.

A donation in a friend or family member’s name would make for a feel-good alternative to your typical holiday gifts, especially for those trying to make a positive impact in the world.

Founders Ciera and Dan Granger’s second daughter was born with multiple disabilities and life-threatening health issues. They fought alongside their daughter as she clung to life at Children’s Hospital of LA for almost six months after she was born in 2006.

Their experience caring for their now twelve-year old daughter forever changed their family, and now the Grangers want to help other families at the Children’s Hospital of LA who are going through similar painful difficulties with their children.

That’s why they are dedicated to helping Children’s Hospital get the funding they need through the Koala Corps. Achieving their funding goal will ensure that every baby is held when their families cannot be there. This mission comes from their firsthand knowledge of how important and great this need is.

Thank you,
