Summary The Lattice Gallery First Thursday, at 316 NW Broadway Portland, Oregon. Art gallery focused on the inventions of Sam Lanahan and Flextegrity – Explorations in Dynamic Equilibrium. See how the ideas of Buckminster Fuller meet the latest in green technology and a new vision of the future. |
Why I sent this press release to you:
I represent Sam Lanahan and his vision to create new building materials that are stronger, lighter and more efficient. His geometric patterns come from nature’s most efficient shapes such as the carbon sixty molecule. They can be used to build green: smart streets, underwater reefs, ocean wall barriers, fabrics and clothing, bridges and even artificial body parts with nano materials.
Yes they are also art objects in a gallery in downtown Portland, but Lanahan’s vision relates to environmental issues and a more efficient way of structuring our cities. Think of all the technology we can integrate when we mass produce these lattices. They can have heating, cooling, and data layers built right into the structure. This will make the brick obsolete in 100 years.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
