Kids make no sense, especially David’s children. Do you ever feel this way about your children or someone else’s children? Or is just me?
Now when I say kids make no sense especially David’s doesn’t mean Charlie as I think he is the only smart one of the Bunch. You might say they are your children to and yes, in theory, that might be true but they do not think that way and I do not push it as they have a mom. Now she may not be a good mom but Sandra is their mom and she can have them.
Let’s start with Ashley when David and I first got together she hated me even though her parents had been separated for years before I came along. She couldn’t and wouldn’t understand they weren’t getting back together. She even refused to come to mine and David’s wedding.
Over the years she has gotten to where she will tolerate me and sent me a nice note in the past month. But that doesn’t mean I am letting my guard down as I know she can turn on me again in the blink of an eye. Although what I can say she is a wonderful mom and a great provider to her three boys. She does love Charlie and her dad or at least she asks like it even though she doesn’t come around much.
Now if we could get rid of the man she is married to as he is a piece of work and I am not going into why he is a piece of work. We wouldn’t have to worry about her so much. But as long as she knows we are here if she needs us is all I care about. And that all three of us love her and her family and would do anything for her.
Then there is Travis (Travey) he and I have had our ups and downs but I would do anything for him and I have. But now he is married to a lady with 5 kids and none of them are Travis. Even though I hate to say it she abuses him which makes me angry. Although I can’t say he doesn’t do the same to her.
When he gets feed up he leaves her but ends up going back. So there is nothing David or I can do as he is over 21. Now pregnant with Travis first baby or at least she says she is. Which David and I may never see. Although I wonder if she is Pregnant as Travis hasn’t even called his dad to tell him about the baby. Which makes me wonder if they are lying as Travis and his dad are close. Now, you may ask how we found out and it was through David’s mom who found out from Sandra Travis mom.
Then there is Leslie and she usually has her head on her shoulder as her grandparents raised her. Although David and I did a lot for her as well. Leslie loves both Charlie and David a lot. They just do not see Leslie as much as they would like to.
Over a year ago Leslie moved to Houston to be with her boyfriend Toby. Toby took a job at the local Police Station as a dispatcher until he could become policemen where he could take care of Leslie. Leslie also got a job at Charming Charlies.
While in Houston they became engaged and Leslie decided to become a veterinarian and found a school to attend. As well as purchasing their first truck and apartment. Then low and behold Toby quits his job and decides he wants to go into the service in January. Then David’s parents get a phone call that they want to move back here. So even though they have a truck David’s mom and dad have to drop everything and go pick them up so they can move back here.
Now where there truck is I have no clue and why they’re moving back I also do not know. What I do know is if Charlie ever puts his grandparents through the things these children do I will personally hang him from the tallest tree I can find.
All I can say is I love my husband and I am so Proud of him as he was asked to go get Leslie for his parents and he said no, I can’t do it. As I have Charlie and I need to be here tomorrow for him as it is Halloween. Because in the past he would have ran as fast as he could to get Leslie and left Charlie and me here to figure out how to go Trick or Treating by ourselves. So I would like to say I am Proud of how far David has come as a father. And how proud of him for realizing Charlie comes first.
