Earth Day Resources for 2019!

Kids Discover
Yesterday was Earth Day and I forgot to share these resources with you. But for Charlie and I it isn’t to late to check out the Earth Day Resources and I thought you might like to as well. If you have used any of these resources leave me a comment and let me know what you liked or disliked about the websites and why.

Did you know yesterday was Earth Day! It’s been almost 50 years since the first Earth Day took place, on April 22, 1970. The date is said to have marked the beginning of the “modern environmental movement.” Thankfully, the movement continues today, and has only gotten stronger!

Our Unit on Earth and our free, downloadable infographic on Earth Day are great ways to get your kids interested in this cause. If you’re looking for something more hands-on, try these Games and Activities. Or, another unique option is to empower them to make their own Earth Day-related curricular connections, using our Discover Map. Simply have them begin on the Earth Science section, and let the exploring begin!

Lastly, Kids Discover also offers various Print Titles related to Earth, Earth-Day and our environment in general. Always a great addition to your library!

These Earth Science issues will become staples in your classroom for years to come. Titles like EcologyConservationEarth, and this Earth Science Themed Set, are among our most popular. Plus, they’re complemented by our Free Teacher Guides and Vocabulary Packets!
