Explore Horizons

The Mommies Reviews

I would like to share another business that was a Vendor at DFW Summer Camp Expo. The new business was Explore Horizons. Even before I knew what type of business Explore Horizons was I knew I wanted Charlie to see the banner because I believe any sing person should always Explore there Horizons in every way possible.

I walked up to Explore Horizons booth as soon as I saw the sign mentioned Math and Reading because Charlie struggles with both. I spoke to the Counselor and learned more about Explore Horizons it reminded me of Sylvan which Suzzane attended.

AsI finished talking to the Counselor and signing up for Charlie to be tested David walked over to the booth. I explained to David what Learning Horizons was and why I wanted them to test Charlie.

No photo description available.

David agreed with me and we set up a appointment for Charlie to be tested in Math so he would get the help he needs to pass the STARR Test. Although on the day of the appointment Charlie ended up sick.

I had to cancel the appointment and I haven’t had time to reset a new one up. Although I know I need to because Charlie needs help or he will not succeed in Middle School.

I can’t let fiances stop me from having Charlie tested because the LORD Knows our needs and he also knows Charlie needs help and I know he will make sure we get Charlie the help he needs if I just believe in the Lord.

About Explore Horizons

Our mission is to use the power of education to help every child fulfill their potential and be the very best they can be.

About Explore Horizon

Explore was born out of a desire to help parents and children gain access to the benefits of a great education.

As a dad of 3 and a school Chairman, our founder Bill Mills knew that sometimes children need a little extra help to thrive academically, and that in parents, there is a deep need to contribute to their children’s education and to give them the best chance in life.

So in 2001 Bill’s vision for Explore became a reality, accessible to all young learners regardless of their means, background, or ability. Our first tutoring center opened near London in the United Kingdom in 2001 with a handful of brilliant people, high hopes, and a bagful of energy and passion. It was an instant success.

Soon word started to spread, and the demand for new centers grew.  By 2013 we knew it was time to expand internationally, and after researching opportunities across the world, we decided that the United States was the best place to continue our educational mission.  In 2014 we launched our first US center in Colleyville, Texas, and now we have over 120 centers in the UK and 5 operating across Dallas / Fort Worth.

Math & Language Arts Enrichment & Tutoring

Explore Horizons enrichment & tutoring is the best possible complement to your child’s education.

We believe that every child has the capacity to be a fearless learner. We’re here to ensure that every one of our members reach their full potential, both in school and beyond.

The STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) tests are standardized tests used by Texas schools to assess a child’s readiness for the next grade level. The STAAR tests are for grades 3rd – 8th and assess performance on TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) standards, which are the same standards to which Explore Horizons have aligned our in-center curriculum. We believe supporting a child’s whole development means working in tandem with the students’ in-class standards.

We’ve also developed a practice test right here for you to try! Take the 3rd grade, 5th grade, or 7th grade practice test and see how you or your child might perform on questions pulled from the Texas Education Agency’s bank of past questions.

This weekend I will have Charlie try the Free STARR Test Assignment so I know where Charlie is struggling at and how I can help him or get his teachers to.
