Family Fun At Alley Cats

The Mommies Reviews

Charlie was asking for something to do last night. I remembered we had Alley Cats Gift cards with money left on them. Once David got home from work I asked if we could head out for Family Fun At Alley Cats.

All the way to Alley Cats Charlie kept talking about the Go Karts and wanting to ride them. What surprised Charlie the most was when David let Charlie know he would ride with him. Although they were upset that they wouldn’t each be able to have their own car they had a lot of fun. I loved hearing them laugh. Both Charlie and David would have spent all night riding the Go Karts.

Watch out everyone Charlie is driving and even though I’ve seen Charlie drive on his video games and scared the beejebbies out of me. Charlie did really good driving the Go Kart and David said he didn’t scare him at all.
Charlie finally got off the Go Karts for a bit and decided to try out the Teacup. It was so much fun seeing Charlie on the ride and the faces he made. I let Charlie know as a child I loved the Teacup and would have ridden it over and over never wanting to get off.

This is Charlie after he got off the ride. I asked Charlie what he thought of the Teacup and he said it was fun. Although he was having trouble walking because he felt a little dizzy. Charlie said that was okay as it wasn’t going to stop him from riding the Teacup in the future.

Here is Charlie watching one of the rides . Because he wasn’t sure he wanted to ride it or not. But I reminded Charlie to face his fears and that he should try everything once. But I wasn’t going to push him and he had to decide what was right for him.

Charlie went back to the Teacup to have some time to himself so he could decide if he would want to ride the other ride or not. I let Charlie know that was the perfect way to make a decision and no, matter what he decided I would be proud of him.

After Charlie rode the Teacup he asked if we could go inside and see what all there was to do. As we walked in we saw Laser Tag. Charlie asked to play a game and I let him know that would be fine.

I was surprised when Charlie let David and I know he would do it by himself because I thought Charlie would want one of us to play with him. But Charlie reminded me he had done Laser Tag before at a lot of other places we have attended.

David and I went to sit down and wait for Laser Tag to be over. I liked being able to spend time with David. Usually we do not get a lot of one on one time without someone being around.

Once Charlie finished Laser Tag we ventured back outside and I thought Charlie would head to the Go Karts. Although Charlie surprised me and he went right back to the Teacup and was able to get his favorite cup. As it’s blue Charlie’s favorite color.

As a mom our children are always winners. Even though I wasn’t sure Charlie won his Go Kart race I wanted to get his picture in the Winners Circle as it was a nice way to remember our day of Family Fun at Alley Cats.

Once we returned home I printed out this picture and had it framed. While Charlie was gone to school I hung it up in his room. Yesterday when Charlie’s friends was over they asked Charlie about the picture.

Charlie let them know it had been taken at Alley Cats. They boys said they hadn’t ever been there. I let David know this. I told David if their parents would give each of the kids $20, we could take them this weekend. Because a $20 card gets them the following Putt-Putt Golf
Go Karts, Playland Rides.

Right before we left Charlie did decide to ride the Roller Coaster and once it was over Charlie let me know it wasn’t as scary as he thought it would be. Charlie let me know he’s willing to ride it again as long as someone rides it with him.

I let Charlie know he could count me in because even though I will not do the Go Karts with him I love Roller Coasters and would ride them all day every day if I could. As for David not so much.

Which is fine as this gives each of us time to do something with Charlie one on one. Then we can play Putt Put or go inside and go Bowling or even play on the Video Games which we all like to do.

If we get tired or hungry there is a restaurant for us to sit down and have dinner at. Or David could go upstairs and order himself a drink while Charlie and I play downstairs. With everything there is to do Alley Cat’s is the perfect family getaway for children of all ages. I could see hosting Charlie’s Birthday here as my nieces and nephews would have something to do.
