TrainTopia

The Mommies Reviews
Charlie, David and I went to Frisco, Texas this past weekend to the Sci-Fi Discovery Center. While there we saw a sign for TrainTopia that all three of us wanted to go inside TrainTopia to see the trains. Only the Weather was getting colder. David and I wanted to get back to this side of town before the Weather got worse. We didn’t go inside TrainTopia which made Charlie sad.
TrainTopia Tickets!
I wandered around the Art Show they had set up inside Frisco Discovery Center. David ventured over to TrainTopia and let me know that he would like to return and see the trains. Charlie let me know he thought this set up was better than the one we see at Christmas. Even though he wasn’t able to get all the way inside to look around.
As we work hard to get back on track with David switching jobs I’m hopping to purchase tickets to TrainTopia so I can surprise the guys with a early Valentines Day Present. If we do return I plan on making it a full day because there’s so much to do from visiting TrainTopia to Sci-Tech Discovery Center and then venturing inside the National Video Museum. If we have time I would like to let see what plays are happening inside the Black Box Theater.
In the meantime here is some information on TrainTopia which is brought to us by Museum Of The American Railroad.

This one-of-a-kind experience features running G-scale trains on a 2,500 sq. ft. layout, a custom light show which takes the exhibit from daylight to nighttime, and hundreds of miniature automobiles and people. The exhibit spans Arizona to Texas, from the dramatic rock formations of the Four Corners region near New Mexico, to a thriving Northeast Texas in the early 1960s. Also featured is an animated downtown Dallas street scene, the Palo Duro Drive-In Theater with a movie playing, West Texas refineries and working saw mills in Colorado!  With approximately ¼ mile of G-scale track, this exhibit is sure to please families of all ages.

TrainTopia tickets are available for purchase at various times throughout days of operation.  Please choose the time that is best for your visit at the time of purchase. Exhibit times are staged throughout the day to allow for maximum room capacity.

You’ll find plenty of arts-related events and educational fun inside the Frisco Discovery Center.

Developed by the Frisco Community Development Corporation and supported by the City of Frisco, $3 million worth of renovations transformed part of a former warehouse space into an arts, science, and cultural center for the local community.
