James Dean Rebel Without A Cause

The Mommies Reviews

I love being able to Homeschool Charlie because we can study things our family loves. Including movies and this week as we near the end of the week Charlie and I were discussing which movie we wanted to watch this weekend. Charlie watched part of La Bamba with David and I the other night.

I was listening to Charlie talk I could hear his fascination with cars and old movies as well as the Stars who played in the films. I went to take Charlie to school this morning I came home and went through my phone. I did I came across a picture of James Dean who was my daughters favorite actor.

As I begin to go through the movies to see what I could find for us to watch this weekend. I kept hearing we could watch Coyote Ugly or Top Gun and the list went on and on and on. Even though I knew Charlie would enjoy those movies as we watch them all the time. I knew they weren’t what I was looking for.

When low and behold I remembered Suzzie had a copy of Rebel Without A Cause. Although Suzzie copy is packed away. This morning I am off to the Movie Store to purchase Charlie his own copy of Rebel Without A Cause. As well as picking up Snacks and the ingredients to make Daddy’s Famous Nachos. For a Family Movie Night this evening.

If your not busy you’re welcome to come and join us.

After moving to a new town, troublemaking teen Jim Stark (James Dean) is supposed to have a clean slate, although being the new kid in town brings its own problems. While searching for some stability, Stark forms a bond with a disturbed classmate, Plato (Sal Mineo), and falls for local girl Judy (Natalie Wood). However, Judy is the girlfriend of neighborhood tough, Buzz (Corey Allen). When Buzz violently confronts Jim and challenges him to a drag race, the new kid’s real troubles begin.
