I would like to share with you Charlie’s progress note from 5th Grade 1st Semester. There is 2 more weeks in this Semester and by seeing these grades I don’t have anything to worry about other than Language Arts. I sent his teacher a not this morning asking what Charlie can do to raise that grade. I was also upset there wasn’t a math grade as this is one of the classes Charlie struggles with the most.
The other day when I spoke to Mrs. Powers she let me know Charlie was struggling and she would sent extra work home for Charlie to work on. Although I haven’t seen anything and I go through Charlie’s backpack each day. Although since then Charlie has been going to Homework Help and made passing grades including a 100 on a Math test yesterday. If you ask me I think he is passing but until I find out for sure I can’t stop worrying and stressing.
If it’s the Lords will David is going to the school this afternoon to find out what Charlie’s Math grade is as I texted Mrs. Powell like she asked me to and she hasn’t responded to my message. Although as mom and a teacher I am sure she is busy but that doesn’t calm my nerves. As we only have two weeks to get his grades if he needs to. Please pray the math grade comes today. Not only for my piece of mind but Charlie’s, David’s and his grandmother’s as well.
English Language Arts 73 OUCH!!
Read/Lit Appre 99
Mathematics
Social Studies 90
Science 91
Handwriting 6
Also, there wasn’t a grade for Music, Physical Education and Art
Please be Praying those Grades are B or above as Charlie would like to join the Choir and also Leadership in his school. But he must maintain a passing grade of B’s or above although the 70 for Charlie is fine his principal said due to his Learning Disabilities. As they want Charlie to get out of being shy and to show not everyone will hurt him. Like they did when they Bullied him and he tried to kill himself.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
