Summer has gotten away from us and I am behind on some reviews which doesn’t mean Charlie and I didn’t review the items it just means I didn’t have time to write them down. Before I go any further I would like to apologize to Mrs. Volin who contacted me to review Home Art Studio on Facebook
Charlie has been fascinated with art since he was little. When Charlie was 3 we couldn’t get him into school and Charlie wanted to attend so badly that David and I found a local Recreation Center that offered Pre-K classes, cooking, tumbling and art classes. Which we enrolled Charlie in and on the days he had art he couldn’t get to school fast enough.
After speaking to Ms. Volin I knew Home Art Studio would be a good send in our home. As Charlie would be able to watch a DVD and be able to follow along while creating the art they wanted him to make. Because I am a terrible artist and cannot draw to save my life. So I run out of things for Charlie to make. Plus David is never home to help him with Art.
If I need to work I can sit Charlie right down next to me and he can watch the DVDs and draw till he is blue in the face. If Charlie has questions I can replay the DVD and answer the questions he has. There are enough supplies for Charlie and his friends to draw together. Or David and I can sit down and take the Art classes with him.Which would bring us closer together?
I took everything to Charlie’s school to share with his Art teacher and the after-school teacher and they both said that Home Art Studio would be a nice asset to there classroom agenda. As the children do not have a lot of time for art. So on the days, they finish there homework they could put in the DVD and just have fun. Which all of the children would like.
I like how the DVDs are broken down and that you can do just one a week so a child doesn’t get intimated and want to quit drawing. As art can be a stress release for both parents and children. As Charlie and I watched the DVD I liked that we were being able to visit a Museum. Which I have been wanting to take Charlie to as he hasn’t been to an Art Museum and I am not even sure David has been.
I have a friend who owns an Art Studio and teaches painting classes and I shared Home Art Studio with Desra and she said she wouldn’t mind ordering Home Art Studio to use in her studio on the days she has more students than she can handle. Desra liked knowing using the DVD’s would allow would allow people to hear someone else besides her.
Davids Uncle is also an artist and paints Western Art for books and is a part of our local Museum. David took Home Art Studio out to show Don and Barbara. Don said it would be the perfect way for Charlie to start to paint as he knows he would like to become an artist.
If you have children and you Homes school then I would like to suggest you order Home Art Studio as it would make homeschool art so much fun. If my daughter Suzzane was still here I would have ordered Home Art Studio for us as I homeschooled her as well and when it came time for Art I couldn’t help her out any more than I could help Charlie.
There is even a Holiday Arts and Crafts DVD that I would like to order for Charlie and me to have as school is out in December and this would help us make some items to give for Christmas Gifts which would save us money as well as time and gas as we wouldn’t have to leave home.
On the days when Charlie and I are looking for something to make there are even free lessons we can download and create. So these will be fun to use when we have his friends over to spend the night. Or at his Birthday party as we wouldn’t have to spend money purchasing games for them to play.
Another fun fact you might like to know is the classes go up to 5th grade. As your children grow you can just order the next grade. Which I like as Charlie and I have the 1st-grade set. Which both children younger and older than Charlie can do. If there are parents around to help the children out.
